Environmental Education: Beckoning Roads for Brunei Darussalam

There are channels for environmental education in Brunei Darussalam but they are grossly under-utilised. With necessary modification such channels can become useful effective environmental education organs.
This article identifies and attempts to show how these channels employed to inform the masses during environmental crises can be transformed from their ad hoc use during such crises to a sustainable use
in a well planned systemof environmental education. Data usedin this papercame from questionnaire-based household and student surveys aimed at understanding people's sources and quality of environmental
information. It suggests ways in which existing channels of environmental information can be adapted and refocused to improve environmental education in the study area. When plans are developed and implemented
with some urgency many communities will be spared avoidable environmental problems.
